Since regular live music is good for your health… or well being or whatever…

According to this article, I should a very happy chickie over the next few months.

When I was in my teens and early twenties I used to go to gigs religiously. It was definitely part of my social life and a very regular occurrence. I think after a few years of that I got ‘gigged out’ and went but rarely in my mid to late twenties and early thirties. That seems an extraordinary thing to me now. I remember some gigs from that down time, seeing The Charlatans, Sigur Ros (twice), The Vines, The Hives, Goldfrapp and I guess a few more, but that was about it. I don’t count going to see Kylie Minogue, as that was a favour to a friend! 😉 Oh and I saw Oasis at Wembley a few weeks before they split, which me and my better half decided to go to for nostalgia’s sake.

I have missed out so much by not so much as checking gig listings, as I was living in London and I could have gone to see music pretty much every week if I had been so inclined! But no, for some reason I was not engaging in that way. Odd..

However with all sorts of band returning to my repaired radar and indeed surprising my radar, my live music intake is improving!

With We Are Scientists, Yak, Hidden Charms, Ash and randomly Jose Gonzalez on the agenda, I will be fine the next few months. I should be walking around with a permanent smile on my face!
